Beetle
These guys are around where I work. This one is on a little rose bush. This is at 1:1 on my 150mm macro lens, a macro purist may think this isn't a macro since the sensor on my camera is only a DX.

Very Close
Pulled out the macro lens and tripod and got into the back yard for some picture taking about the time the sun was setting. Had to expose this one for several seconds to get the DOF up. I'm really happy with the results and the wind was even being helpful but being non-existant.

Crescent Moon, Venus and Mars
Took this along with a bunch more in sucession in order to make a short film of the moonrise. Had fun doing it even though I had to get up at 5:30am on a Saturday. to do it.

long legs indeed.
Snapped this guy outside on the Greenway Trail while taking a break from coding at work. Handheld with 150mm macro. I even saw a couple of deer along the way.

Drip Drop
I tried my hand at some drop photos not too long ago. I got a few I liked, this being one of them. I'm going to have to try it again with some better lighting and drip mechanism.
As you can see, I may be focused more on the writing on the bottom of the dish I was using than on the drop splash.

Almost there...
Another ladybug shot, I know a bit lame but I like them and they normally don't more so fast that I can't get focused on them.

Over the top
Some older shots since I haven't been doing well in getting out and taking pictures I can be proud of.

bright red
I would have lost my lunch if I was flying any of the planes I saw on this particular afternoon. It was great fun and the action was almost non-stop.

With Spring...
These little critters are flying all over the place. Hard to get one to stay still long enough to get in for a close shot.

Star Trail on deck
Taken off my back porch/deck. The dotted line going through the middle going higher from right to left must have been a plane, it's light blinking as it went. Removing it seemed wrong to me.
about 34 shots, 4 minutes a shot for a total of 136 minutes or about 2 hours 16 minutes

Little green fellow
This guy was on my Tiger Lilies one weekend day so I grabbed my 150mm macro lens and snapped a few of him. I ended up getting too close and he scampered away.
