Messed around with lighting and a Smuttynose Porter one evening.

strobist info: 500w/s bounced off of white background with black sheet of construction paper behind the glass and in front of background so light peeks around the sides and top of the black paper.

Just setting up the camera for macro shots can be a chore at times. Funny how sometimes you just catch something at just the right time.

Sometimes, man can create some marvelous things. This was contructed some time ago and although looks a bit aged inside it still has a timeless beauty and a look of the future you'd expect from something made of stainless steel. This sucker is big!

Spider in a web

Sometimes I feel like this spider.

Disney back in 2004

Thought this was a cool photo. Haven't been to the Disney complex for a long time now. More than likely over 5 years.

Will need to get back to EPCOT soon, really enjoy it much more than the Magic Kingdom.

Up close and personal, I like this shot but it's a bit difficult to get them to stay still long enough to get a shot of them.

Lady

Climbing to the top, I haven't seen many ladybugs or ladybirds this season. It's beginning to get cold and I'm not sure if I will.

I really do like these little guys, need to get out there and take more macros.

I really like making these star trails and very soon want to go somewhere other than my back yard to expose them. I'm thinking about going to the PSSG this year with the brother, it's a whole week of star gazing stuff in October. I'm just not sure about taking off a whole week to do this.

Up close

After trying to get some good shots last week this little guy landed on a bush close by just as I was loading my stuff back intot the trunk. Had to pull everything back out set up the tripod and even though he took off several times he came right back.

This guy was just hanging around outside at work.

Monarch caterpillar, I think this one was taken at my parent's house, not really sure though. I need to modify my backyard to be more butterfly friendly.

At my parents house, this lizard is showing off to try to get a mate. Funny how we do the same thing.

Still going through some older shots here is some sort of bug on a cherry tomato I was growing last year.
