PDK Airshow

Yesterday was the Peachtree Dekalb Airport Good Neighbor Day and Airshow. IT was really hot most of the day although it was cooler than last year. Got some OK pictures and saw some really cool airplanes. I wish some people could move back though and allow you to take a photo without them in the way. I tried to mostly take shots very close up then I didn't have much trouble.

Took a few shots from the overpass of Midtown Atlanta (or is it downtown?). Had Becky along with me, she was a bit worried about a couple of thugs looking us over while I set up the camera and shot the 10 or so frames.

A very good friend of mine gave me this camera, Now I have to buy a display case (curio) for all my older cameras in order to show this one off! Maybe I can get one for under a couple hundred $$ soon.

Still need to do some more cleaning and reconditioning, some leather conditioner on the bellows would improve things a bit. Also a bit of cleaning the dust off of the inside of the bellows and lens would improve things as well.

Saturday I went to the Zoo with Becky, it was teacher day, she got in free and I paid $15 to see the animals for 2 hours. We did get to have some good beer and sit at the bar at Six Feet Under afterwards so it was fun after all.

HDR-like

I should have actually shot frames for a true HDR here but just didn't think about it at the time. Anyway, the sky wasn't all that great.

PS. I like my car!

I haven't died

I totally haven't been posting here, need to get something up here but I've just haven't gotten out much to take photos, the sky in GA is mostly just a nasty hazy blue white, took a shot of my car with some sky, didn't have a polarizer for my 35-85mm lens, so nasty blue all around.

Hooray for Hooters, ha

I really like doing night shots, need to get out more. Love the colors on this one.
